Manchester United have officially confirmed the signing of Patrick Dorgu from Lecce, subject to visa and registration.

Denmark International has signed a contract until June 2030, with an option to extend it for an additional year.

A statement on the club’s website titled, “Transfer news: United sign Patrick Dorgu,” confirmed the move on Sunday.

“Manchester United is pleased to confirm that Patrick Dorgu has joined the club, subject to visa and registration,” it read.

The Denmark international follows in the footsteps of the likes of Ji-sung Park, Brian McClair and John Curtis, who have previously been allocated that position in the squad.Goalkeeper Lee Grant was the last to have it, during the 2021/22 season.
